BOOM21 aims to showcase Southeast Asia’s brightest and most innovative disruptors in a one-day virtual conference,
set for March 31st 2021
Wild Digital, Southeast Asia’s premier technology conference (brought to you by Catcha Group) launched the BOOM21 initiative, aiming to identify and recognise 21 disruptive, innovative individuals from across Southeast Asia’s technology and startup ecosystems.
“We’re not just a geographical playbox for global VCs – we actually are a global hotbed of ideas and innovation,”
said Patrick Grove, Co-Founder & Group CEO of Catcha Group during his keynote speech at Wild Digital Southeast Asia 2020.
Taking inspiration from this, Wild Digital is seeking nominations for the region’s top technology entrepreneurs, makers and startup-ers that have launched meaningful innovations within the past two years.
BOOM21 List & Nominations
Nominees are not restricted to a particular age group or industry vertical, and will compete on equal terms, with 2 defining criteria:
1) nominees must be based in Southeast Asia and
2) have an implementation or working prototype.
The top 21 nominees will be selected by panel, with successful BOOM21 nominees announced in February 2021.
Judging will include evaluating the sustainability of an idea, and the positive impact it has on the wider community.

BOOM21 Online Conference
In addition to the list, BOOM21 will be held in conjunction with a one-day virtual conference featuring Wild Digital’s signature Main Stage program of fast-paced panel sessions and presentations.
The conference is scheduled for 31 March 2021, and will be free to attend, with speakers consisting of a mix of the top 21 disruptors and key industry players.
